I’ve found that the most fun parties are when people get involved and actually do something. That’s why my husband and I love to host (and go to) game nights. Sometimes we play cards, sometimes Pictionary, or sometimes Bunco. Be sure to provide plenty of wine and beer and some heavy snacks like the ones below:
Spinach Dip
1 cup reduced fat or light sour cream
1/4 cup light Ranch Dressing
1 pkg. (10 oz.) frozen chopped spinach, thawed, well drained
1 carrot, shredded
1/2 cup finely chopped yellow peppers
Wheat Thins Snack Crackers
Mix sour cream and dressing in medium bowl until well blended.
Stir in vegetables.
Serve with crackers.
Spinach Parmesan Dip
1 10-ounce package frozen chopped spinach, thawed
1 cup sour cream
1/4 cup grated Parmesan
1 clove garlic, finely chopped
Kosher salt and black pepper
Dippers (such as carrot sticks and pretzels)
Squeeze any excess liquid out of the spinach.
In a medium bowl, combine the spinach, sour cream, Parmesan, garlic, 1/2 teaspoon salt, and 1/4 teaspoon pepper. Serve with the dippers.
Easy Baked Cheese & Vegetable Twist
2 eggs
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Kraft 2% Milk Shredded Italian Three Cheese Blend
3 cups frozen broccoli cuts, thawed, drained
1/2 lb. fresh mushrooms, cut into quarters
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, cut in half
4 green onions, sliced
2 cans (8 oz. each) refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
Stir everything but the rolls together. Unroll dinner rolls side by side and pat seams together. Spread filling down the middle and pull edges together. Shape into a wreath, turn over.
